The Children's Fiction Writing Award
The Calgary Children's Book Fair and Conference is proud to present the Children's Fiction Writing Award.
Children in the following age categories, eight/nine, ten/eleven, twelve/thirteen and fourteen/fifteen, will unleash their own incredible imaginations to create a truly unique story, which will then be published in an anthology.
The designated genres for the award are science fiction, fantasy and mystery. The winning stories in each age group will be professionally edited, then collected into an anthology, featuring not only the story, but also a photograph and biography of the author, to be printed by our wonderful sponsors at Blitzprint. Each young author in the anthology will also receive ten complimentary copies of the anthology for friends and family. (While additional copies of the anthology may be available, these are at the expense of the winning candidate's family, who are responsible for dealing directly with Blitzprint).
The winning entries for the fiction writing award will be announced at the Calgary Children's Book Fair and Conference on November 27, 2010.
Please note that the Calgary Children's Fiction Writing Award
is only open to children residing within the city of Calgary.
